Grant-Writing for Farm Communities: SUCCESS Stories

Farm Conservation has written grants for the Initiative for Climate Leadership and Resilience, City Farm SLO, Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District, Kandarian Organic Farm, and First Fruits Farm. We were awarded a technical assistance grant for farmers in San Luis Obispo county needing soil-sampling and nutrient management support. Kandarian Organic Farms was awarded a CDFA grant for carbon sequestration and outreach in Spring 2022. Chorro Ranch at Cal Poly Lands was awarded in 2021 a healthy soils incentives study. We are developing consensus for a “Food Hub” in partnership with Harvestly and the Farming Community.
